I'm currently reading The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue. It was one that I wanted to read when it came out, but life was decidedly busy at that time. Now that I've gotten some time (and waited for a Christmas restock of the book), I'm really enjoying it. The premise about a young woman who makes a wish she regrets is exactly anything new, but I like Addie and understand the decision she made. I also appreciate the jumping time frames. What I'm really looking forward to now, about 1/5 of the way through, is how Schwab is going to keep this premise interesting for another 300 pgs. Hope it works!
That one was definitely one of my favorite from last year! It's a very faustian book, but there are some neat twists along the way that I think you'll enjoy.
I love getting your newsletter. My inbox is basically where fun goes to die, all business and deadlines, so your emails are always my priority read. Thanks!
I haven't watched Season 5 of The Expanse just yet, and I saw an almost-spoiler that there are some major deviations from the book series, which I'm sure you get into above, so I'm marking this newsletter for when I return post-binge. But I do love the series and cherish the show even more for everything it's done for modern space opera. (I'm also working my way through an SG-1 rewatch at the moment, which is a whole other level of undertaking.) In terms of reading, I'm waiting for Lindsay Ellis' Axiom's End to arrive through international mail (thanks COVID), so until then I'm chipping through Chomsky's Manufacturing Consent.
No spoilers above! I haven’t seen the final back half of the season, but will eventually. I’ve seen some spoilers (one of which I’ve been expecting), but I’m still in the dark.
I’ve heard good things about Lindsay’s book: I really enjoy her videos.

I’m so glad to hear that!
