To add to the authors-in-one-place narrative: Sarah J Maas signed with Hulu to adapt her Court of Thorns & Roses series, which is New Adult fantasy. Ron Moore is doing it, and he’s signed an overall deal with Disney to work across their various platforms. Mass’s stuff is wildly popular if not critically beloved, and there’s lots more to adapt when ACOTAR is done. So I would not be surprised if her contract is not just for ACOTAR but for all her work.
